Gladney Adoptee Service Trips
The mission of the Gladney sponsored Service Trip is to provide opportunities for Gladney adoptees, families, and volunteers to connect on a personal level while volunteering at Gladney or at Gladney sponsored orphanages. Gladney also offers teen/student trips as well as family service trips so the whole family can experience the joy of giving.
The time in-country consists of giving an opportunity to benefit those less fortunate, while creating lifelong bonds with fellow Gladney adoptees and families. Under the direction of Gladney staff, our fast-paced itinerary always includes several days of love/labor filled days of volunteering at a Gladney supported orphanage.
The trips include several adventure day activities that serve to increase cultural awareness and an appreciate of the great outdoors. Activities in the past have included bike tours, zip-lining through the jungle, white water rafting, tour of the Panda reserves, mountain biking and mountain climbing.
"I was lucky enough to ‘win the lottery’ of adoption and end up with my family. A small way to express my gratitude is volunteering my time and love to the children at San Mauricio." GLADNEY ADOPTEE, CATALINA, age 20.
"Having the privilege of going to Colombia to devote some of my time to the orphans has given me a much larger world perspective. We were able to play with amazing, sweet children who have so much less than we do. I loved making all of the kids feel as special as they truly are.
GLADNEY ADOPTEE, HAYDEN, age 22.
