Gladney's Post Adoption and Client Services brings together a licensed, clinical staff, qualified to thoroughly assess families appropriately to ensure the children are entering into safe and loving homes.
Bill Porter, LPC
Director of Post Adoption and Client Services
Bill Porter is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He joined the Gladney Family in 2013 and his education, work experience and life experience have prepared him for the role of supervising. Bill spent the majority of his childhood and adolescence in Cost Rica and Guatemala as his parents served as missionaries with the Nazarene Church. This exposure to other cultures has given Bill a love for third-world countries and a unique perspective as a Third-Culture-Kid. Bill is bilingual in both English and Spanish, and has spent extensive time in Latin America as an adult. Professionally Bill has worked in residential, university, community agency and in-home settings. He has 14 years of experience working in individual, family, child and adolescent counseling. Bill’s most recent position allowed him to work as a Functional Family Clinical Supervisor. In this position, he provided evidence based therapy to at-risk juveniles, while also providing clinical supervision to other therapists. Bill obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Southern Nazarene University and a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas.
