Possible 2013 Gladney Adult Adoptee Service Trip!

Gladney has been given the opportunity to partner with HELPS International to form a team and travel to Guatemala to install ONIL stoves for the indigenous people of Guatemala. These stoves reduce smoke and burns, in addition to reducing wood usage. Gladney was thrilled to hear of this incredible opportunity and immediately thought of our Adult Adoptee group, as many of you have expressed an interest in the possibility of joining such a team.

We are considering scheduling this week-long trip, the last of July/first of August 2013. The cost will be about $1900 and will include hotel, meals, in-country transportation, cost of the stoves, training to install the stoves –but does not include transportation to and from Guatemala. A Gladney staff member will be joining this team.

Team members will be given many opportunities to build relationships with the Guatemalan families and to experience the Guatemalan culture. Most days will include lunch in the homes of local Guatemalan families.

Let me know if you would possibly be interested in joining this team and making a difference in the lives of the beautiful Guatemalan people by Friday, August 17th. We need at least 10 people to form a team.
