Gladney received the following letter of thanks from the Ministry of Women's Affairs in Ethiopia for Gladney's financial contribution to the recent flood victims in Ethiopia.

"Since late July 2006, unusually heavy rains resulted in flash floods and overflow of rivers and dams affected 200,000 people in eight regions of the country. It resulted in loss of life, damage of property and destruction of livelihoods for tens of thousands of people. To respond to the immediate needs of these people substantial assistance has been provided from government, UN and NGOs.

In view of this, we highly value the contribution made by your organization to address the immediate needs of the people in floods affected areas and the commitment to participate in the rehabilitation and recovery programme to enable the people to lead a sustainable life.

Finally we would like to express our heart felt thank for the assistance made and hope that our cooperation will continue as usual.
