Humanitarian Aid - Guatemala Fundaniños was created in 1991 by a group of Christian volunteers who started working in juvenile jails delivering a message of hope and change. This helped in the realization of the different needs children have who are trying to change, but find themselves trapped in a system that denies them any possibility of achieving that.
To accomplish the rescue of the children Fundaniños with assistance from Gladney created the Home of Homes program so these children can have a home. At this time, they have 1.4 hectares in San José Pinula, there are two homes, one for girls (in this one we have accommodations for babies) and another one for boys. The common area is basically for the kitchen, dinning room, laundry and storage. We have a capacity for 46 children, 12 little ones and 12 babies. The children go to school near the home. Fundaniños has temporal guardianship and when it's possible to get an abandon declaratory the child can enter the adoption program.
