China - Brighter Futures For Children
Gladney Center has been placing orphans from China since 1994, and enjoys an excellent relationship with the China Children's Welfare Institute to provide myriad forms of humanitarian aid for the orphaned children who remain, many of whom will never be adopted.

Traditional programs, like the baby formula program and the shoes for orphans program, that have been successfully delivered to orphanages across China, are now joined by new programs that provide for special needs orphans, all under the umbrella category of the China Initiative. Today, older orphan girls soon transitioning to life outside of the orphanage are receiving preparatory assistance from Gladney, and orphans of all ages who have medical challenges are being served by SuperKids - teams of volunteer physical therapists and physicians who work hands-on with the children and train staff.

China has tragically been hit by natural disasters of major proportions, and Gladney has organized emergency aid fundraising drives in each instance and arranged for 100% of the donations to be delivered to the hardest-hit orphanages.
